Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Florida seeks a Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform STAT and routine complex testing on biological specimens. You will report results promptly and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals to coordinate testing needs.

The role requires robust communication, multitasking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Florida licensure and a clinical lab training program are expected; rotating shifts, some evenings and weekends may apply.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology, Medical/Clinical Laboratory Science, or health related field.
• Completion of a clinical laboratory training program is required.
• Applicants with a Baccalaureate Degree in Biology or Chemistry with completion of a clinical laboratory training program will be considered in the appropriate field of study.

Responsibilities

• Perform STAT and routine moderately and highly complex clinical laboratory testing on biological specimens.
• Report valid and accurate patient results in a timely manner.
• Interact with physicians, nurses and allied health staff to coordinate testing and understand test availability.
