Job summary
Mayo Clinic is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform STAT and routine complex laboratory testing on biological specimens. You will report results accurately and promptly, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals to coordinate testing and ensure test availability.
The role requires a Baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology or related field, completion of a clinical training program, and Florida licensure.
Qualifications
- Must have a Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology, Medical/Clinical Laboratory Science, or health related field.
- Completion of a clinical laboratory training program is required.
- Applicants with a Baccalaureate Degree in Biology or Chemistry with completion of a clinical laboratory training program or clinical laboratory experience will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Perform STAT and routine moderately and highly complex clinical laboratory testing on biological specimens.
- Report valid and accurate patient results in a timely manner.
- Interact with physicians, nurses and other allied health professionals to coordinate testing and understand test availability.
