Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform STAT and routine clinical laboratory testing on biological specimens, reporting accurate results in a timely manner. The role requires coordination with physicians, nurses and other health professionals to optimize testing capabilities.

Experience with both manual methods and automated analyzers is preferred, and candidates must meet Florida licensure requirements. Rotating shifts and on-call responsibilities may apply.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology, Medical/Clinical Laboratory Science, or health related field.
• Completion of a clinical laboratory training program is required.
• Applicants with a Baccalaureate Degree in Biology or Chemistry with completion of a clinical laboratory training program or clinical laboratory experience will be considered in the appropriate field of study.

Responsibilities

• Perform STAT and routine clinical laboratory testing on biological specimens.
• Reports valid and accurate patient results in a timely manner.
• Interact with physicians, nurses and other allied health individuals to coordinate testing and promote understanding of test availability.
