Responsibilities

• Assigns and evaluates the work of subordinate staff; resolves complex problems to ensure patient services.
• Evaluates new products, equipment, and systems; makes recommendations for improved operations.
• Identifies educational or training needs; makes final decisions on selections; evaluates performance.
• Trains staff on VA Scheduling Directives and completes accurate scheduling responsibilities.
• Participates in daily teamlet huddles and weekly team meetings for patient care planning.
• Supports patient safety standards and privacy rules; handles front-line patient and staff contact.
