Job summary

AdventHealth in Parker, CO is seeking a Patient Access Representative to manage front-desk interactions, verify demographics and insurance, and assist with check-in and discharge processes. You will collaborate with clinical teams to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate billing information, while delivering compassionate service.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, entering data accurately, collecting co-pays, and guiding patients through registration and post-care steps.

Qualifications

• Associate and/or higher education in health services administration or related field preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming phone calls, responds to inquiries, and directs calls appropriately
• Welcomes patients; updates, verifies, and enters patient demographics, insurance, and billing information and processes forms into appropriate systems
• Registers patients for services, ensures accuracy, facilitates timely discharge, and maximizes reimbursement
• Maintains open communication between clinical, ancillary, and patient access departments to enhance patient experiences
• Provides education to patients regarding test locations, patient portal use, and follow-up (non-clinical) actions
• Requests co-pays and/or outstanding balances at check-in respectfully but firmly
