Job summary

AdventHealth in Winter Haven, FL seeks a Laboratory Training Specialist to provide orientation and training for new staff and students. You will act as a preceptor, document training, and support clinical staff with education as needed.

The role requires at least 2+ years of technical lab experience, a Bachelor’s degree in lab science, and strong English communication. The position emphasizes quality control, safety, and ongoing competency assessments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical lab science, or CLIA-equivalent.
2+ years of technical laboratory experience.
Strong English communication, both verbal and written.
Ability to educate and train new staff.
Knowledge of safety policies, PPE, and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

Provide orientation and training to new employees and medical technology students.
Serve as a preceptor and document orientation and training.
Support education of clinical staff as appropriate.
Lead quality control and quality assurance activities.
Perform pre-analytical activities related to lab testing and instrument maintenance.
