Job summary

AdventHealth in Daytona Beach, FL seeks an Evening Laboratory Technician to support high-complexity testing, train staff, and ensure accuracy and safety. You will perform pre-analytical and analytical procedures, monitor quality control, and help with instrument maintenance.

You will interpret complex results, document findings, and participate in performance improvement activities while communicating effectively with clinical teams and respecting confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology.
• 2+ years of technical laboratory experience.
• Experience with quality control and calibration.
• Proficiency in English communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide orientation and training to new employees and students.
• Guide technical staff and resolve customer service issues per guidelines.
• Follow safety policies including PPE and hazardous chemical handling.
• Lead quality control and quality assurance testing.
• Manage instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Perform pre-analytical and post-analytical testing activities.
