Job summary

MiniMed is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design and development of advanced medical devices for diabetes care in California. You will apply expertise in analog/digital circuits, microcontroller architectures and power management to deliver safe, reliable products.

The role demands hands-on engineering, collaboration across Product, Systems, Mechanical, and Software teams, and a commitment to quality and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 4+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 2+ years relevant experience.
• Hands-on engineer with a focus on quality and patient safety, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with FDA/ISO 13485 or IEC 60601 medical device standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research and implement state-of-the-art technologies to enhance product features and reduce size and cost.
• Design, develop and test ultra-low power analog, digital, and RF circuits for medical devices.
• Assist PCB layout and routing with manufacturability, signal integrity, and EMI/EMC considerations.
• Support battery management circuits, including PMICs and fuel gauges, and perform power analysis for efficiency.
• Generate functional and test specifications and support DRM principles.
