MiniMed is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Northridge, CA team and help advance innovative mechanical and electromechanical products for medical devices.

This full-time, on-site role requires CAD proficiency (SolidWorks) and experience with manufacturing scale-up, line validation, and design for reliability; domestic/international travel of 20–30% is expected. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years’ experience in a regulated industry, or advanced degree with 2+ years.
• Fixture design, deployment and validation on the manufacturing line.
• Experience with manufacturing line validation (DOE, Process development, IQ/OQ/PQ).
• SolidWorks / CAD modeling.
• Ability to travel 20–30% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Researches, designs, verifies, validates and develops mechanical and/or electromechanical products and systems for production and energy use.
• Recommends technology options or approaches for safety, performance, efficiency or costs.
• May be responsible for transfer from R&D to manufacturing.
