Job summary

MiniMed is seeking a Sr Engineering Manager - Systems Design for our Northridge Office. The role is onsite four days a week with one day remote and focuses on leading the design and development of medical device software systems.

You will guide the evaluation of new technologies, manage feasibility studies, ensure QA standards, and coordinate with suppliers to meet milestones and regulatory requirements for market release.

• Requires broad management knowledge to lead project teams in one department.
• Mastery level knowledge within a specific technical area with broad understanding of other areas.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and implements design and development of new medical device products or software systems.
• Oversees quality assurance and control systems and reliability standards.
• Coordinates activities with outside suppliers and consultants to ensure timely delivery.
• Guides the conceptualization of new methodologies, materials, machines, processes or products.
• Directs development of concepts from design to market release.
• Monitors documentation maintenance throughout R&D.
• Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure efficient operation.
