Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a skilled medical coder to abstract and code medical records for hospital procedures using ICD-10 and CPT guidelines. You will work with physicians and staff to obtain necessary documents and ensure accurate billing across remote coding projects.

The role requires 3+ years of provider coding experience, proficiency with PMS, and strong attention to detail. CCS-P or CPC credentials are preferred to support quality and productivity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent working knowledge.
• At least three years of provider coding experience with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPC.
• A CCS-P or CPC credential is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Abstracts data and assigns accurate ICD-10 diagnosis and CPT procedure codes.
• Uses PMS to accurately account for demographics and services for all cases.
• Coordinates with physicians and staff to obtain clinical documents and demographics for coding and billing.
• Provides education and support regarding documentation and coding to achieve accurate billing.
• Maintains effective communication with providers regarding coding issues.
