Job summary

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or GED.
• Experience with medical coding in a health information setting.
• Familiarity with ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT-4.

Responsibilities

• Assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes per guidelines.
• Review clinical documentation for coding accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor coding-related bill hold issues and assist with mentoring.
• Support coding education by training coders and students.
