Houston Methodist is seeking a Senior Medical Assistant Certified (Sr. MA) to provide expert support for advanced examinations and treatments, under physician or RN supervision. The role includes EMR supervision, scheduling, and ensuring medical necessity compliance.

The Sr. MA will train and orient Medical Assistants, act as a preceptor, and collaborate with interprofessional teams to maintain high-quality patient care and safety standards.

Competenze

• Five years medical assistant experience with highly complex, chronic disease management or in a specialty discipline.
• High School diploma or equivalent education.
• Certified Medical Assistant through relevant boards and BLS certification.

Mansioni

• Assist with patient examinations, procedures, and treatment under physician or nurse supervision.
• Schedule patient appointments and verify eligibility for care.
• Perform and document vital signs and clinical measurements in EMR.
• Coordinate care with physicians, hospital staff, and community resources.
• Serve as clinical resource and preceptor to Medical Assistants; mentor colleagues.
