Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group seeks a Senior Medical Assistant, Certified (Sr. MA) to deliver expert clinical support under the supervision of a physician or nurse.

You will assist examinations, procedures, diagnostics, and dressing changes, and may schedule appointments while ensuring medical necessity for care. Non-exempt role focusing on HIPAA/CLIA compliance, MyChart usage, and training others as a preceptor and clinical resource.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five years medical assistant experience with highly complex, chronic disease management or in a specialty discipline.
• Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant or EMT and BLS.
• Preferred CPT - Certified Phlebotomy Technician (ACA).

Responsabilités

• Lead and provide advanced clinical support under physician or nurse supervision.
• Assist with examinations, procedures, diagnostic studies, treatment and dressing changes.
• Schedule patient appointments and verify eligibility for care.
• Preceptor and clinical resource to Medical Assistants; train/orient others.
