Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Senior Medical Assistant Certified (Sr. MA) to provide advanced clinical support under Physician or RN supervision. The role includes assisting with examinations, procedures, diagnostic studies, and EMR work, while ensuring compliance with CLIA, HIPAA and NCQA standards.

The Sr. MA will also serve as a preceptor and clinical resource, train others, and coordinate with the care team to uphold patient safety and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• MLS required with CMA/RA or equivalent certification and BLS.
• Five years medical assistant experience with complex cases.
• Education aligns with high school diploma and relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with examinations, procedures, and dressings under supervision.
• Perform administrative duties following CLIA, HIPAA, NCQA standards.
• Provide preceptor support and clinical mentoring to staff.
