Job summary

Houston Methodist seeks a Senior Medical Assistant Certified (Sr. MA) to provide expert support in examinations, treatments, and delegated tasks under physician or RN supervision. The role includes scheduling, ensuring medical necessity, and mentoring Medical Assistants.

The Sr. MA will oversee scope of practice, assist with patient care, and perform administrative duties in compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, NCQA, and government standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent education.
• Five years medical assistant experience with highly complex, chronic disease management or in a specialty discipline.
• Certified Medical Assistant through AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, NHA or Registered Medical Assistant or EMT and
• BLS - Basic Life Support or Instructor (AHA) - American Heart Association

Responsibilities
