Job summary

City of Hope is seeking a Senior Medical Assistant to support patient flow in our clinic. The CMA/RMA performs delegated clinical and administrative duties to ensure a smooth patient experience, reporting to the Practice Manager or Director.

Qualifications include CMA/RMA certification, High School Diploma, and 5+ years of MA/Nurse Assistant experience. Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM. City of Hope is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program; or completion of an unapproved Medical Assistant training program and successful passage of a nationally recognized certification examination (AAMA, AMT, or equivalent); or completion of a United States Armed Forces medical services training program; or completion of another relevant clinical training program.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clinicians with patient care and clinical procedures.
• Performing patient intake, vital signs, and other duties within scope of practice.
• Triaging telephone calls and relaying information appropriately.
• Coordinating communication between patients, caregivers, physicians, care managers, and clinical departments.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and supporting care coordination activities.
• Ordering and maintaining clinical and office supplies.
• Providing clerical and administrative support to ensure efficient clinic operations.
