Job summary

City of Hope is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in a fast-paced care setting. You will provide compassionate patient care, assist with clinical tasks, and help with direct patient interactions under supervision.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, MA certification, and current BLS/CPR. Phlebotomy experience is required, and EMR experience is preferred. This is a full-time opportunity located in the United States with standard weekday hours.

The successful candidate:

Hours are M-F 8:00am - 4:30pm

Under the direct supervision of a physician, physician extender, or a registered nurse, performs a variety of patient care activities in accordance with established standards and practice of CoH. Delivers compassionate care to patients by assisting with clinical tasks, preforming support services for clinical staff and providing direct interaction with patients and their caregivers.

Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years prior experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
• MA certification required
• Current BLS and CPR required (Obtain AHA certificate within 30 days of hire)
• Phlebotomy experience required
• Must be flexible, reliable, and self-motivated
• Excellent organizational skills and effective oral written communication skills
• Computer and typing skills required
• Experience with electronic medical records preferred
