Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant III to support providers in delivering high-quality patient care. You will assist with exams, procedures, testing and specimen collection, while collecting patient histories and vital signs.

You will also coordinate care, document results and educate patients and families for better health outcomes, and act as a MA preceptor, updating procedures and serving as a system superuser when needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a credentialed Medical Assistant with MA II-level skills.
• Current CPR certification and MA credentialing from recognized agencies.
• Experience supporting providers, charting patient histories, and vital signs.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Collect and document patient histories, vitals and health information.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Serve as MA preceptor for new and existing MAs and update workflows.
• Coordinate care and communicate results and instructions to patients.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
