Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers, welcome patients, assist with exams and procedures, and help coordinate care to ensure a positive healthcare experience.

You will collect histories and vital signs, document health information, perform testing as directed, educate patients and families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team committed to quality and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of clinical experience preferred or equivalent education/experience
• In absence of completed MA program, 2+ years of clinical support experience required
• MA certification/credentialing is a plus

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and act as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
