Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering outstanding patient care. You will welcome patients, document histories and vital signs, assist with exams and procedures, and help coordinate care to create a positive healthcare experience.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and completion of an MA program or related credential, with 0–1 year of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an MA program/externship or equivalent credential is preferred.
• MA certification/licensure in Michigan is desirable.
• 0–1 year of clinical experience preferred; 2+ years acceptable if MA program not completed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and liaise between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
