Job summary

Mercer is seeking a Sr. Government Health Actuary to join our Government Human Services Consulting team. You will engage in client work, analyze Medicaid programs, and contribute to strategy and pricing models.

With 5+ years of health actuarial experience (3+ in Medicaid leadership) and actuarial credentials, you will lead analyses, guide junior staff, and help grow our government health practice.

Qualifications

• 5+ years health actuarial experience with Medicaid leadership exposure.
• Ability to manage client engagements and meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
• Actuarial credentials (ASA, FSA, or MAAA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in routine client engagements, managing service delivery and strategy.
• Draft and review client reports and presentations to summarize findings and implications.
• Thrive using AI and technology-enabled tools to enhance analyses.
• Perform and review complex analyses and pricing models with junior staff oversight.
• Handle day-to-day client contact and guide junior staff in interactions.
• Assist senior team members in business development and responses to requests.
