Mercer is seeking a Sr. Government Health Actuary to join our Government Human Services Consulting team. You will participate in client engagements, manage delivery, and design strategies while leveraging AI and technology-enabled tools.

The role requires extensive health actuarial and Medicaid leadership experience. Responsibilities include developing client reports, presenting findings, and guiding junior staff.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required.
• At least 5 years health actuarial experience with 3+ years Medicaid leadership actuarial experience.
• Ability to manage client and project delivery under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Participate in routine client engagements, managing overall service delivery and strategy.
• Draft and review client reports and presentations to summarize findings and implications.
• Thrive in an environment embracing AI and technology-enabled tools.
• Perform complex analyses and pricing model work, ensuring actuarial soundness.
• Guide junior staff in client interactions and day-to-day project management.
• Identify growth opportunities and assist in responding to information or proposals.
