Job summary

Gainwell Technologies LLC is seeking a Senior Business Analyst - Medicaid to contribute to health information technology projects, focusing on Medicaid/Medicare initiatives. You will bridge clients, PMs, and technical teams to define business requirements, develop specifications, and drive process improvements.

This role blends business analysis with project coordination across fast-paced client engagements.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role, with Medicaid/Medicare experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of technology delivery concepts, including system configuration, development lifecycles, data interfaces, and batch processing.
• Working knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write and execute basic queries for data analysis, validation, troubleshooting, and research.
• Advanced proficiency with analytical tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, and requirements-management tools, including ALM platforms.
• Strong client communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into actionable objectives and deliverables.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business process re-engineering capabilities.
• Experience supporting project management activities, including project planning, status reporting, stakeholder coordination, risk management, and execution tracking.
• Demonstrated interest in project management and a desire to grow into expanded project leadership responsibilities over time.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt between business analysis and project coordination responsibilities in a fast-paced client environment.
• Strong executive presence and communication skills with the ability to engage business leaders, clients, and technical personnel.
• A collaborative leader who motivates others to action and communicates complex business and technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.

Responsibilities

• Play a critical role in ensuring Gainwell meets our clients' objectives in key business and technology initiatives.
• Coordinate a business analyst team’s duties on IT projects and mentor newer team members.
• Serve as a bridge between clients, project managers, and technical teams to define, document, and communicate requirements and outcomes.
• Work with clients to develop business specifications and requirements at project start.
• Analyze, design, document, and recommend improvements to business processes supporting client technology goals.
• Validate requirements through testing and deliverables review.
• Utilize analytical tools and SQL to analyze data, validate requirements, support testing, and quantify impact.
• Partner with project managers to support planning, status reporting, risk tracking, stakeholder communications, and action item management.
• Flex between BA and project coordination as priorities evolve.
