Job summary

Gainwell Technologies seeks a Senior Business Analyst for Medicaid to drive business analysis and project coordination on Medicaid/Medicare initiatives. Remote work is available with occasional onsite meetings; the role supports client goals and technology-driven improvements.

You will mentor analysts, translate client needs into requirements, and use SQL and Excel to validate decisions, while collaborating with PMs and technical teams in a fast-paced, healthcare-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years as a business analyst with Medicaid/Medicare experience preferred.
• Ability to translate client needs into actionable requirements and deliverables.
• Experience coordinating IT projects, planning, status reporting, and risk tracking.
• Proficient in SQL for data analysis, validation, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate a business analyst team on IT projects and mentor junior members.
• Bridge between clients, PMs, and technical teams to define, document, and communicate business requirements and expected outcomes.
• Develop business specifications and requirements at project start.
• Analyze and propose improvements to business processes aligned to client goals.
• Validate requirements through testing results and deliverables.
• Use SQL to analyze data and quantify impact of proposed solutions.
• Support project planning, status reporting, risk tracking, and stakeholder communications.
• Flex between BA and project coordination as priorities shift.
