Job summary

Gainwell Technologies LLC is seeking a Senior Business Analyst - Medicaid to help improve health outcomes through technology. The role blends business analysis and project coordination with remote work options and occasional on-site collaboration, with strong preference for candidates in or near Montgomery, Alabama.

You will partner with clients, PMs, and technical teams to define requirements, translate them into actionable plans, and mentor junior analysts while advancing process improvements.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role, with 3+ years of Medicaid/Medicare experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of technology delivery concepts, data interfaces, and batch processing.
• Working knowledge of SQL, including writing and executing basic queries.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and ALM tooling.
• Strong client communication to translate business needs into actionable objectives and deliverables.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and business process re-engineering capabilities.
• Experience supporting project management activities and risk tracking.
• Interest in growing into expanded project leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate business analyst duties on IT projects and mentor newer team members.
• Bridge between clients, project managers, and technical teams to define and communicate requirements.
• Work with clients to develop business specifications at project start.
• Analyze and improve business processes to support technology goals.
• Validate requirements through testing and deliverables.
• Utilize SQL for data analysis, testing support, and impact quantification.
• Support project planning, status reporting, risk tracking, and stakeholder communications.
• Flex between business analysis and project coordination as priorities evolve.
