Job summary

Marsh is seeking a Senior Medical Consultant II - Behavioral Health Clinician to lead projects for state Medicaid/CHIP agencies. The role supports complex clients with clinical insight and regulatory-driven program design. Hybrid work arrangement with in-office presence required.

Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking are essential to drive outcomes and professional growth. The base salary range is $132,500 to $265,000, with potential incentives and a robust total rewards

Qualifications

• Master's, professional, or doctoral degree in a behavioral health discipline, sufficient to qualify for an independent and unrestricted clinical license.

Responsibilities

• Provide project leadership and thought leadership with growing ownership.
• Lead and contribute to client deliverables, presentations, and project documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate regulatory requirements into program changes and quality reporting.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in behavioral health programs across various delivery models.
• Coordinate and manage project teams to stay within budget and schedule; maintain client communication.
• Develop new business with client managers, including drafting proposals and identifying opportunities.
• Ensure staffing resources align with skill and career levels; foster team development.
• Stay current on market trends and regulatory environments to advise internal and client teams.
• Gather feedback from stakeholders to inform program recommendations.
• Oversee quality and timeliness of client deliverables and project communication.
• Develop tools and processes that can be used across multiple clients.
• Motivate and mentor team members; manage team dynamics including subcontractors/vendors.
• Provide real-time feedback to support growth and quality performance.
