Job summary

Marsh is seeking a Senior Medical Consultant II - Behavioral Health Clinician to join our Government Health Consulting (GHC) team. Hybrid work is available with a minimum of three days in the office.

You will lead complex behavioral health projects for state Medicaid/CHIP agencies and provide expert insights across multidisciplinary teams. You will collaborate with Medicaid leadership, managed care entities, and providers, while developing proposals, directing deliverables, and guiding rate

Qualifications

• Master's, professional, or doctoral degree in a behavioral health discipline, sufficient to qualify for an independent and unrestricted clinical license
• 5+ years of relevant experience in behavioral health consulting
• Knowledge of Medicaid policies, regulations, and program operations
• Experience in Medicaid/Medicaid managed care or related behavioral health programs
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
• Ability to mentor junior staff and manage project teams
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Provide project leadership and thought leadership on complex health projects
• Lead and contribute to client deliverables, presentations, and documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate regulatory requirements into program changes
• Serve as subject matter expert in behavioral health programs including Medicaid and managed care
• Coordinate project teams to deliver on time and within budget
• Develop proposals and identify opportunities for expanded work with clients
• Identify staffing resources and mentor team members for growth
• Stay current on regulatory trends and impact on clients' programs
• Engage stakeholders to gather feedback and inform recommendations
• Ensure quality and timeliness of client deliverables
• Develop tools and processes to leverage for multiple clients
• Provide real-time feedback to team members for growth
