Job summary

Marsh is seeking a Senior Medical Consultant II - Behavioral Health Clinician to join its Government Health Consulting team. The role offers hybrid work with in-office days and remote flexibility on a case-by-case basis.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams on Medicaid/CHIP programs, deliver client-ready documents, and drive strategic initiatives across regulatory changes and program design. The role focuses on behavioral health with supervision and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master's, professional, or doctoral degree in a behavioral health discipline, sufficient to qualify for an independent and unrestricted clinical license
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of Medicaid policies, regulations, and program operations
• Demonstrated experience in Medicaid, Medicaid managed care, or similar behavioral health programs
• Strong critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage, motivate, and mentor staff
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a demanding environment

Responsibilities

• Provide project leadership, thought leadership, and team leadership with business development input
• Lead and contribute to client deliverables, presentations, and project documentation with increasing ownership
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate regulatory requirements into program changes
• Serve as a behavioral health subject matter expert across diverse projects including managed care and fee-for-service
• Coordinate and manage project teams within budget and schedule while maintaining client communication
• Help define proposals, draft technical proposals, and identify opportunities for expanded work
• Identify staffing resources and develop team members' skills and career growth
• Stay current on market trends and regulatory changes affecting clients
• Deliver accurate analysis and be a trusted contributor on project teams
• Engage stakeholders to gather feedback and inform program recommendations
• Manage quality and timeliness of client deliverables
• Develop intellectual capital and lead tool/process development for clients
• Motivate and nurture team dynamics, including subcontractors/vendors
• Provide real-time feedback to support growth and performance
