Job summary

Palm Springs Life Magazine in Palm Springs, California, seeks a Senior Sales Executive to grow advertising and sponsorship revenue across print, digital, social media, events, and custom programs. You will build a proactive pipeline, manage a small client portfolio, and develop cross-platform solutions that meet client objectives.

This full-time, on-site role requires a hunter mentality, strong negotiation and presentation skills, and the ability to turn opportunities into long-term partnerships

Qualifications

• Media, advertising or sponsorship sales experience in B2B environments.
• Ability to prospect and close new business and build a personal book of business.
• Strong relationship-building with owners and senior marketers.
• Excellent presentation, proposal writing, negotiation and closing skills.
• Translate client objectives into relevant marketing solutions.
• Self-directed with strong follow-through and CRM discipline.
• Comfort using CRM to manage opportunities and forecasts.
• Knowledge of Greater Palm Springs/Coachella Valley business community is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prospect, develop, and close new advertising, sponsorships and integrated marketing opportunities.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals and events.
• Manage a small portfolio of assigned advertisers with retention, renewals and growth.
• Develop persuasive proposals linking client goals to Palm Springs Life media products.
• Negotiate and close business while protecting pricing and relationships.
• Meet with owners, marketers, agencies to understand goals, audiences and budgets.
