Job summary

Macy's is seeking a Senior Reliability Maintenance Technician for our distribution center in North Carolina. The role combines mechanical, electrical, computer, and software skills to maintain and improve equipment availability in a high-tech fulfillment environment.

You will train technicians, lead maintenance activities, and ensure safe, efficient operations across automated systems and material handling equipment. A strong PLC and CMMS background is required to succeed.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Mechatronics Technology or at least 4 years of industry level experience.
• Multi-skilled in electrical and mechanical disciplines with automation/MHE/robotics experience.
• Solid knowledge of PLC-based controls systems.
• Experience using CMMS to plan proactive maintenance and record tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Work hands-on with Automation and other MHE; serve as SME and trainer on equipment.
• Coach and mentor technicians on shift and support supervisor in their absence.
• Provide high levels of equipment availability by troubleshooting and prioritizing repairs.
• Install, repair, and maintain electronic, mechanical, and control systems in a complex fulfillment center.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
