Job summary

Belcan in Weirton, WV is seeking a Sr. Equipment Engineer (Mechatronics) to lead the ramp-up of production and own first-of-its-kind equipment. You will drive uptime improvements, play a key role in commissioning, and develop maintenance strategies for reliable operation.

You will define OEE metrics, translate downtime data into action, and collaborate across mechanical, controls, quality, and operations to deliver results. This role is contract-to-hire and involves hands-on floor support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 7+ years of equipment engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Hands-on troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and controls.

Responsibilities

• Own performance and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment.
• Define and implement OEE metrics and identify loss drivers.
• Lead equipment-focused improvement projects with CAD design of hardware.
• Provide floor support and participate in design reviews, FATs, and SATs.
