This hands-on role focuses on equipment reliability, troubleshooting, process improvement, and optimization of automated and legacy equipment. You will troubleshoot, commission, and optimize equipment, diagnose PLC/HMI, machine vision, robotics, motion systems, pneumatics, sensors, tooling and fixtures, and lead automation projects with internal teams and

Qualifications

BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics or related preferred; AAS considered.
3+ years hands-on automation, equipment, or manufacturing engineering experience.
Strong troubleshooting skills; working knowledge of PLC/HMI and industrial controls; advanced PLC programming not required.
Experience with automated manufacturing equipment including machine vision, robotics, motion systems, pneumatics, sensors, tooling/fixtures, welding, fastening, or automated inspection.
Strong shop-floor manufacturing experience, project leadership, root-cause problem solving, and equipment/vendor coordination.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, commission, and optimize new automated equipment and existing legacy machinery.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, controls, and process-related issues involving PLC/HMI, machine vision, robotics, and sensors.
Lead equipment and automation projects including vendor coordination, installation, validation, and ramp-up.
Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and outside vendors while mentoring newer engineers.
