Job summary

Collabera is seeking a Senior Equipment Engineer to join our Operations Engineering team in a high-volume manufacturing setting. You will lead the ramp-up of production, develop maintenance strategies, and own first-of-its-kind equipment.

You will own performance metrics, participate in design reviews, FATs and SATs, and create CAD designs to address reliability and throughput, while supporting hand-on floor operations and improvements across mechanical, electrical, and controls.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of experience in equipment engineering or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in a compatible engineering discipline is required.
• Experience with manufacturing equipment such as furnaces, conveyors, mixers, welders, and laminators.

Responsibilities

• Own the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment.
• Define and implement OEE and equipment metrics to identify loss drivers and guide improvements.
• Translate downtime trends into problem statements, scopes, and execution plans.
• Lead equipment-focused improvement projects including mechanical, tooling, fixturing, and layout changes.
• Create and maintain CAD designs and drawings for hardware addressing reliability and throughput.
• Respond to production events with a root-cause, system-level mindset across mechanical, electrical, and controls.
• Support installation, commissioning, and ramp of new equipment, including FATs and SATs.
• Optimize equipment parameters and station configuration with production and quality teams.
• Provide hands-on floor support in high-volume manufacturing and establish standards to reduce repeat issues.
