Job summary

RTX seeks a Senior Process Engineer to lead ramp activities for new and expanding manufacturing operations. You will coordinate with process engineers, facilities, and vendors to ensure utilities, equipment, and infrastructure meet ramp requirements.

You will drive schedules, readiness metrics, and cross-functional communications, while monitoring performance and implementing improvements throughout early builds and transitions.

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in Process or Manufacturing Engineering in optics, electro-optics, medical, semiconductor or microelectronics environments.
• Experience with semiconductor processing and metrology equipment.
• Proven success in site readiness, factory startup, or greenfield projects.
• Knowledge of safety, regulatory and quality compliance in production.
• Project management and reporting experience.
• Knowledge of statistical process control and design of experiments.
• Experience with financial forecasting, scope, schedule and EAC.
• Ability to travel ≤10%.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment with appropriate PPE.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and implementation of process ramp activities for new/expanding manufacturing operations.
• Partner with process engineers, facilities, and vendors to ensure utilities, equipment, and infrastructure meet requirements.
• Collaborate with program managers to build/update ramp schedules, resource plans, and readiness metrics.
• Drive cross-functional communication to align staff, equipment owners, and support teams on ramp plans.
• Monitor process performance during early builds and transitions; implement corrective actions.
• Support commissioning, qualification, and handoff of new processes and tools to sustaining teams.
• Develop requirements and qualification plans for new equipment procurement.
