Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Spartanburg, SC is seeking an Automation Technician IV to mentor team members and lead advanced robotics and PLC projects across welding cells. You will perform troubleshooting, programming, and maintenance of automated equipment with safety and quality at the forefront.

Success requires a strong Mechatronics background, journeyman credentials or equivalent, and a proven ability to read electrical schematics, modify robot routines, and support continuous improvements

Qualifications

Industrial maintenance/automation role Requires strong electrical/mechanical background.
Journeyman certification or technical degree preferred.
Experience with PLCs, robotics, welding applications is essential.

Responsibilities

Mentor Automation Technician I-III and Weld Technicians on duties.
Troubleshoot and program robots and PLCs; read electrical schematics.
Perform preventive maintenance on automated welding systems and equipment.
