Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Sr Mechanical/Project Engineer - Integration for its LC-36 launch site in Cape Canaveral, FL. You will bridge hands-on mechanical design with project coordination, shaping ground mechanical systems and GSE for New Glenn rockets.

Lead design through commissioning, manage schedules, and coordinate with field technicians to ensure safe, on-time delivery while maintaining documentation and acceptance tests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline required.
• 10+ years of design/analysis/construction of large mechanical systems; aerospace GSE experience preferred.
• Experience in design and systems integration/activation.
• Proven track record leading mechanical designs from concept to commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop large-scale mechanical ground systems, mechanisms, and GSE.
• Perform and review FEA and hand-calcs for complex systems.
• Lead integration, testing, and activation coordinating with engineers and technicians.
• Develop integrated schedules for fabrication, assembly, installation, testing, and activation; manage critical path.
• Track deliverables, issues, and risks; communicate with leadership and mitigate.
• Oversee external fabrication/installation contractors for quality and schedule compliance.
• Lead handoff of commissioned systems to operations with complete documentation.
