Job summary

Matrix Service is seeking a Mechanical Superintendent to supervise craft employees and support estimating teams in a construction environment. The role requires planning work activities, determining methods and safety requirements, and coordinating with multiple departments.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in similar facilities, a 4-year engineering degree, and strong leadership and communication skills. This is a full-time, on-site position in Tucson, AZ.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in a similar facility/construction environment.
• 1+ years supervising craft employees.
• 4-year engineering degree or equivalent training/experience.
• Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and cost control.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Proficient in Excel and other MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise work activities; determine construction methods and safety requirements.
• Oversee rotating and static equipment; coordinate with crafts and departments.
• Maintain safety compliance and conduct field safety audits.
• Assist with estimates and proposal development.
• Resolve safety issues and project-related problems.
