Job summary

Matrix Service Company is seeking a Superintendent to oversee electrical construction craft employees, plan and supervise work activities, determine methods, safety procedures, manpower, materials, equipment, and schedules on our projects.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' experience in a similar facility, including construction technology, methods, equipment, tools and work procedures
• 1+ year experience supervising craft employees
• Advanced understanding of construction scheduling cost control
• Ability to supervise large groups
• Demonstrated ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize performance
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; good computer skills including MS Word and Excel

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise work activities; determine construction methods, safety procedures, manpower, materials, equipment, and schedules
• Coordinate assigned work with different crafts, company departments and other contractors
• Maintain liaison with safety, engineering, estimating and planning to ensure compliance with safety policies, drawings, specs and schedules
• Assist in resolving construction problems and safety issues; conduct accident investigations as required
• Maintain communication with HR to resolve manpower requisitions and monitor field safety compliance
• Conduct field safety audits and ensure corrective measures are implemented
