Job summary

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. seeks a Mechanical/Structures Engineer to design and integrate components using composite and metallic materials for aerospace hardware.

You will prepare CAD drawings, manage interface control documents, and perform GD&T with tolerance studies. You will lead technical reviews and mentor junior engineers, contributing to system integration and flight-testing activities.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in mechanical/structures engineering.
• 11+ years in related engineering discipline.
• 3+ years lead engineer experience in aerospace preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design components from composite and metallic materials.
• Develop mechanical fluid systems to route liquids and gases.
• Prepare drawings, specs, parts lists, and interface control documents.
• Apply GD&T and tolerance studies for affordable designs.
• Prepare design review material for technical interchange meetings.
• Support flight testing, data reduction, and reporting.
• Mentor Level I-III Mechanical/Structures Engineers.
• Lead complex projects affecting multiple systems and suppliers.
