Job summary

IREN in Childress, TX, seeks a Mechanical QA/QC Technician to inspect, test, and verify liquid cooling systems and related mechanical infrastructure, ensuring conformance to drawings, specifications, and industry standards across high-performance data center projects.

With 5+ years in mechanical QA/QC, certifications are preferred. The role includes day and night shifts on a rotating schedule; 15% night premium; relocation options; and on-site work to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in mechanical QA/QC or mechanical inspection in industrial construction.
• At least 2 years with liquid cooling systems in data centers or similar environments.
• ASQ CQI, AWS CWI, or NDT Level I/II certification preferred.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
• Proficient reading of mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and specs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed inspections of mechanical systems including liquid cooling, piping, pumps, valves, and HVAC.
• Verify installations comply with drawings, specs, and manufacturer requirements.
• Witness and document functional tests for liquid cooling systems; ensure leak-free, efficient operation.
• Record NCRs and maintain QA/QC reports; track corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to data center standards and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and vendors to resolve quality issues.
