Job summary

IREN is seeking a Construction Supervisor - Mechanical to lead the installation of advanced liquid cooling systems for data centers. You will supervise field teams, coordinate with engineers and electricians, and ensure all systems meet performance and safety standards on major infrastructure projects.

Ideal candidates include 7+ years in mechanical construction, a construction management background, and hands-on data center cooling experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate/Bachelor's preferred in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years in mechanical construction/supervision on industrial or large commercial projects; 3+ years with liquid cooling in data centers or high-tech facilities.
• Journeyman/Master Mechanical License, AWS CWI preferred; OSHA 30 cert required; First Aid/CPR preferred.
• Ability to read/mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and project specs; strong understanding of cooling tech and data center infra.
• Familiarity with testing tools like pressure gauges, flow meters, and thermal imaging; strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise mechanical technicians, fitters, and subcontractors on liquid cooling systems and HVAC equipment.
• Monitor team performance and ensure safety, quality, and adherence to project goals.
• Oversee installation to align with drawings, specifications, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Coordinate mechanical activities with electrical, plumbing, and structural trades for seamless integration.
• Collaborate with engineers, vendors, and QA/QC to resolve issues and maintain progress.
