Job summary

IREN is seeking a Construction Commissioning Supervisor – Mechanical in Childress, Texas to lead the installation, testing, and startup of mechanical systems in high-performance data centers. The role requires hands-on commissioning of HVAC, liquid cooling, and piping, with strict safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in mechanical commissioning or construction management, OSHA-30, and strong leadership and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in mechanical commissioning or construction management.
• OSHA-30 certification (or within six months).
• Advanced understanding of OSHA regulations and company safety protocols.
• Knowledge of high‑efficiency HVAC, chilled water, and liquid cooling.
• Able to read P&IDs and mechanical drawings.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with BMS, Procore, Primavera, MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commissioning of mechanical systems including HVAC, chilled water, and liquid cooling infrastructure.
• Verify installations against design specs, performance benchmarks and standards.
• Coordinate with subcontractors for installation, testing and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during startup, testing and commissioning.
• Develop and implement LOTO procedures for safe energization.
