Job summary

Interstate Mechanical LLC is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Manager to lead a portfolio of mechanical projects across facilities divisions, balancing budgets, schedules, and safety while delivering profitable, high‑quality outcomes.

You will mentor Project Managers and coordinate with field leadership, customers, and subcontractors to maintain strong relationships and drive continuous improvement across multiple concurrent projects.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in mechanical project management with increasing responsibility.
• Experience successfully managing multiple mechanical projects concurrently.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and related systems.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects, deadlines, and field requirements.
• Knowledge of project controls, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, procurement, and change management.
• Ability to manage financial performance and profitability across projects.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal requirements including industry codes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple mechanical projects from planning through closeout.
• Balance budgets, schedules, manpower, procurement, and financial performance across a project portfolio.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, schedules, cash flow, billing, and profitability.
• Track submittals, change orders, RFIs, and project documentation.
• Coordinate scopes of work and purchase orders for subcontractors and vendors.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, general contractors, and field teams.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams and ensure timely project closeout.
