Interstate Mechanical is seeking an experienced Special Projects Mechanical Piping Foreman to lead field crews on commercial and industrial projects. You will ensure safety, schedule, and quality while coordinating with project managers, customers, and trades.

The role involves reading blueprints, planning activities, installing piping systems (hydronic, domestic, sanitary, gas, steam), mentoring apprentices, and maintaining accurate reports on progress and costs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial or industrial mechanical piping experience.
• Experience leading field crews.
• Able to read blueprints and coordinate multiple projects.
• Professional communication with customers and coworkers.
• Organized, dependable, and safety‑focused.
• Adaptable as priorities change and able to produce quality work.

Responsabilités

• Lead piping crews on multiple fast‑paced projects.
• Plan daily work activities and coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Install and oversee mechanical piping systems (hydronic, chilled water, heating water, domestic water, sanitary/storm, natural gas, steam).
• Read blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, customers, and other trades.
• Monitor progress, labor productivity, and job costs.
• Maintain workmanship and safety standards.
• Conduct safety meetings and OSHA compliance.
• Mentor apprentices and field personnel.
• Build positive customer relationships through professional communication.
