Required: a Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, 10+ years in mechanical design, 5+ years in project management, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and tools like TraneTrace or eQuest. PE/LEED/EIT preferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years industry experience in mechanical design for commercial/government/academic/industrial projects.
• 5+ years project management experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and modeling tools such as TraneTrace or eQuest.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design projects from scope definition through construction completion within budget.
• Review staff work for quality assurance and provide technical guidance.
• Serve as primary client contact and foster relationships.
• Oversee project budgets, billing, and financial tracking.
• Coordinate internally across departments and externally with clients, subcontractors, and agencies.
• Mentor junior PMs and engineers to develop skills.
• Conduct field observations and ensure designs comply with codes and client requirements.
• Collaborate on marketing initiatives to support business growth.

Senior Mechanical Project Manager Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline
• Minimum of 10 years industry experience in mechanical design for commercial, government, academic, industrial, or similar projects
• At least 5 years of project management experience
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and modeling software such as TraneTrace or eQuest
• EIT and LEED accreditation strongly preferred
• Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of municipal codes, business and financial principles in consulting
