Job summary

CT Mechanical, a division of Comfort Temp Company, is growing its project management team in Florida. You will own commercial mechanical projects from turnover through closeout, focusing on the schedule, labor plan, the materials, the client relationship, and the money. Your target is a minimum 10% net profit on every job you run.

This is not a paperwork job. You'll be the person who sees labor overruns, material gaps, and schedule slips coming weeks out, and fixes them before the field feels

Qualifications

• 10+ years in commercial HVAC or mechanical construction.
• 3+ years managing projects or leading field operations.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent trade or industry experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, equipment installation, controls coordination, and startup.
• A track record managing budgets, labor hours, job cost, change orders, schedules, vendors, and subs.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, specs, submittals, RFIs, and contract documents.
• Comfort running multiple projects at once without dropping follow-through.
• Credibility with the field, and the ability to coach people.

Responsibilities

• Plan the job: review the estimate, drawings, specs, schedule, and contract at turnover to catch risks and scope gaps early.
• Run the job: keep a labor forecast and a 3-week look-ahead, and ensure crews have the information, materials, and tools they need.
• Protect the money: track budget, job cost, labor production, and cost-to-complete.
• Communicate: report project metrics to leadership weekly and build relationships for repeat work.
