Job summary

Comfort Temp Company in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to lead commercial HVAC projects from turnover through closeout. You will own schedules, labor plans, materials, client relationships, and financials, aiming for minimum 10% net profit per job. This role collaborates with field leadership, estimating, warehouse, finance, GCs, owners, engineers, vendors, and subs.

Qualifications

10+ years in commercial HVAC or mechanical construction.
3+ years managing projects or leading field operations.
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent trade or industry experience.

Responsibilities

Plan the job by reviewing estimates, drawings, specs, schedule and contract to identify risks.
Provide feedback on scope, constructability, labor and pricing to Estimating.
Build and maintain the project plan: labor, materials, equipment, vendors, milestones.
Manage labor forecast, look-ahead schedule, and ensure crews have needed tools and materials.
Track budget, job cost, and change orders; protect margins.
Communicate with GCs, owners, engineers, inspectors, and internal teams; report weekly metrics.
