Job summary

AECOM seeks a Lead Mechanical Project Manager based in Texas to lead all mechanical activities for data center projects, from pre-construction through turnover. You will coordinate with clients, GC’s, EPCs and internal teams to ensure mechanical systems meet design, budget and schedule goals.

The role requires extensive experience in large-scale industrial or data center projects, strong MEP expertise, and leadership in commissioning and readiness planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Experience with large-scale industrial, mission-critical or data center projects.
• Knowledge of MEP systems, electrical distribution and cooling infrastructure.
• Understanding of construction means, project delivery and contract administration.
• Familiarity with commissioning and operational readiness planning.
• Experience managing mechanical scopes >$100M.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical activities from pre-construction to warranty.
• Serve as primary mechanical liaison between client, GC, EPC and stakeholders.
• Oversee installation of mission-critical mechanical systems (chillers, CRAH/CRAC, pumps).
• Coordinate milestones with electrical, civil, architectural and commissioning teams.
• Review pay applications and coordinate with project controls.
