Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Lead Electrical Project Manager to be based in the United States, handling mission-critical data center projects. You will manage pre-construction through turnover, coordinating with clients, GC’s, and EPCs to meet schedule, budget, and quality targets.

Responsibilities include overseeing electrical installations, commissioning, and interfacing with mechanical and civil teams. A strong background in large-scale electrical systems and project controls is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency.
• PMP, CCM, or equivalent certification.
• 15 years in Construction.
• 5+ years’ experience managing large-scale industrial, mission-critical or data center projects.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, electrical distribution, cooling infrastructure, and critical facility operations.
• Understanding of construction means and methods, project delivery processes, and contract administration.
• Familiarity with commissioning processes and operational readiness planning and execution.
• Experience managing electrical scopes in excess of $100M in construction value.

Responsibilities

• Manages all electrical activities on the project including pre-construction, design, phased construction, closeout, commissioning and occupancy.
• Serve as the primary electrical point of contact between client, GC’s, EPCs, and AECOM stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment between electrical infrastructure requirements and project objectives.
• Oversee installation of electrical switchyards, switchgear, transformers, HV/MV distribution, UPS, BESS, ATS, controls and cabling.
• Monitor contractor performance and conduct site inspections for quality and conformance.
• Coordinate electrical milestones with mechanical, civil, architectural, and commissioning teams.
• Provide guidance on project policies and ensure work complies with design, budget, schedule and quality.
• Coordinate commissioning activities and energization of building systems.
